Mags made a statement earlier today about me having gone on a witch hunt over there at Universal. What was the basis for his statement? And is this basis factual or imagined? Well, I'm now going to expose Mags as an innuendo apprentice of Chico, the innuendo master. Here, one may be forgiven for assuming Mags has been in training under Chico, e.g. in the art of substituting imagination for reality ... for neither respects the integrity of the factual record, preferring instead to locate drama on the stage.

Certainly, it's time for the plastic power pyramid in Hollywood to create an Oscar category for Punk Purpose In Film, Forums, And The Performing Arts. At United People alone, we have at least three deserving nominees.

Well ... there you have it, good folks! There's my alleged witch hunt (of Heebert). Note that Heebert starts the personal stuff in link 10 above. And keeps it personal throughout. i was remarkably cool and impersonal in my responses to him. I was still in India at this point and had not participated in the Universal Mod skype chamber during the Heebert feigned victimization by yours truly. So any ban actions taken against Heebert had been done without my input (tho' I wish I'd been there to cast my vote ... which would have been to roll out the tree bucket and aim it at a wormhole pointed at the outer limits of our Universe). Note also that Heebert invited negative judgment from other members without my prompting. The guy was an attention whore and an energy vampire. Much like Chico here at United.

You need to focus on the drama at other forums for your regular fix ... and that's why you are here because that kinda stuff is what United encourages ... and what Universal and Nexus - to their credit - discourage.

I think you are being included with the other "officials" at US by association, and that they are being held responsible for the reprehensible mini-tyranny that has occurred at US with respect to banning and censoring without any real justification or transparency.


Sorry, but I was not at the computer at that time, and when I did finally see it, I was just sitting down to dinner with family, and computing is not encouraged during family meals. I'm kind of old-fashioned when it comes to family time at the dinner table.

I'm not sure if Magamud is on Skype. Andy and I are on Skype, and I'm sure we can accommodate a group Skype chat at a convenient time for all of us (though I think the four of us span four time zones, which also complicates things).

Banning and censoring in a private club is not only not incorrect ... it is commendable. Otherwise, goods and garbage are doomed to exist in the same space; signal and noise are similarly doomed for coexistence; thoughts and feelings crunched into the same space leading to heightened feelings and diminished thoughts; etc.

The result is an overall lowered experience in the traffic of ideas. And this traffic jam is desired by the power pyramid and its poltroons (witting and otherwise) ... which is why the pyramid freely promotes the equation of liberty with the ability to make noise. The ability to make signal, alas, is the thrust of The First, not the ability to make noise ... and The First limits prohibitions against speech to Congresscritters. It leaves such prohibitions entirely up to the people and their private clubs.
