The history you know is not correct. Pearl Harbor was not a surprise to FDR, but a deliberate orchestration to guarantee America entered the war. Saddam Hussein's invasion of Kuwait, which resulted in the first Gulf War, was encouraged by the United States, which then rode in to the rescue to paddle Hussein's heiney. Read all about it, keeping in mind that this may not be the real story either.

Here's a guess.

The real structure of power has never changed. That is because empires and revolutions are managed.

If change is the only constant, then it is doubtful the power has never changed.

The dynamic to control us has never changed. Just like a thief steals, and a liar lies. Do these things change at the core level?

Tyranny is Tyranny in itself. It does not change.

All ghettos are the same. The poor are the same, the mentally ill.

Please find some balance.

There is much variation in every example of control, tyranny, ghettos, the poor, and the mentally ill. Yes, every tyranny will have common attributes that allow us to recognize it as a tyranny, and yet every tyranny will be different. The same applies to each of your examples. And you say they don't change? Can you see how that is an oversimplification?

If you always resort to oversimplification, I would say this is unbalanced.

I understand the concept of over simplification Chic.
I am trying to get you to acknowledge and integrate the core aspect that does not change.

You just identified it in the last post so that is progress.

I am not sure what it is that makes you over complicate things. PTSD?
That was a joke...

The only core aspect that I can see that does not change is the battle between good and evil. By that I mean the battle changes constantly, but seems to be enduring without end.

The answer is reality. If I could avoid the complications of reality, I would, just like any other human. But my emphasis on seeking the truth precludes it.

The United States of America is the only country to use nuclear weapons. Americans think the obliteration of Hiroshima and Nagasaki was necessary and just. They couldn't be farther from the truth, because the history they've been fed is a lie. Like usual, they were deceived and manipulated into supporting a crime against humanity (a crime against themselves). And like usual, they fell for it.

Who would deceive the public and manipulate their minds into believing in fantasies that are inherently self-destructive?

Sociopaths.

The real history of the Vietnam War was also suppressed, spun, modified, and fabricated. Civilians were slaughtered and counted as enemy statistics, when they were completely unarmed. So what else is new? All the sociopaths give us are lies, damned lies, and statistics.

Quote:
And I'm afraid that if history is any guide it might be decades before someone is able to really put together the real stories of these wars, let alone the semi-covert campaigns in places like Pakistan and Yemen. So while I don't think it's as bad as it was in Vietnam, I think it remains to be seen exactly what the toll of these wars has been. -- source

On this anniversary of "a day that will live in infamy", mainly because of a traitorous president known as FDR, it is important to remember not only the propaganda that was fed to the American people, but also to become familiar with the real truth, which is almost 180 degrees removed from the fables we have been taught of an underhanded "surprise attack" on Pearl Harbor by the evil Japanese.

It's still happening today -- the American people are fed lies by the military-industrial-Congressional-media complex, and the real truth is carefully hidden or distorted.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.
