Wow im just amazed. I thought I was the big egoist. Human species is so full of shit. If we can just position ourselves using critical analysis and realizing how big the universe is, we would be so much better off.

I haven't watched the video yet, but the Big Bang is simply ridiculous. First, you have to accept all the questionable assumptions Sheldrake mentions. Second, the Big Bang theory is based on extrapolations back through enormous amounts of time and is based on our current understanding of the universe, which is virtually nonexistent. It is like deducing an entire Hollywood movie from a single frame of the film. Third, an expanding universe derived from a single point, where all galaxies are moving away from each other, does not account for colliding galaxies, which we have evidence for.

You may as well say that an invisible man in the sky did it.

There are things out there that we don't know about. Yep, I can believe it. Where I throw up the red flags is when people start suggesting they know what those unknown things are, when they really don't.

But it is useful to realize that there are things out there that we don't know about.

Interview with Dr. Rupert Sheldrake about the censorship of his 'The Science Delusion' TEDx talk on the Skeptiko podcast with Alex Tsakiris.

Look! The "moderators" in the dogmatic scientific community are trying to squash drama! Where have we seen that before? Oh, right, in the dogmatic forum community! Obviously, drama cannot be good for the pursuit of truth, right?

Wrong.

Drama is the usual way in which the advancement of truth occurs.

Thanks for that post, Andy.

Graham Hancock was also censored from the same TEDx (x=independently organized) event, which is odd considering the the title of the talk was "Challenging existing paradigms and redefining values (for a more beautiful world)" and this statement is prominently posted at it's website:

Quote:
As young people living in a world at a time when humanity is faced with defining challenges to our collective future, we see that many existing systems have failed and that this is a pivotal moment in our history. Our hearts and imaginations tell us that a different world is possible, and we believe that we need to be wildly visionary and ecologically pragmatic. We see many individuals and communities bravely pioneering a new way forward. They ignite us with hope, and we are committed to supporting them in spreading their ideas. At TEDxWhitechapel our speakers will explore these new and innovative solutions from diverse perspectives of the human experience:

Politics – Community – Spirituality – Education – Freedom – Art – Science – Economics – Business – Environment – Holistic Wellbeing

Here's Graham Hancock's response to Tedx's censorship:
