Mag, I am looking for no miracle of truth. If the truth must be told, I have found that TRUTH finds us, not US finding truth. This is why none of the religions can hold her. TRUTH shuts up everyone in their delusions. How do I know that? Been there...more than once.

NEVER assume anything and make darn sure you are not being deceived, be it moral or not. If 99% truth is still a lie, you bet few will ever know TRUTH.

Enlightenment which has been described as "a blessed state in which the individual transcends desire and suffering and attains Heaven, Jannah, Aaru, Nirvana, Tian, union with the Supreme being, whatever" seems to be the goal of many people here on this funny little planet!

Could reaching this state be "the meaning of life"?

The thing is people want to just leave their Mortal existence and be in bliss. Much of the Rama Teachings is about making everything an illusion due to not solving Duality. This is an escape forged since the beginning of time to make Gods work an illusion.

It's been over tens years since reading any of Ramakrishna's books, if fact I'm not even sure if he actually wrote any himself.

What I do remember reading about this guy though was that he seemed to be a bit of a "nutter" and by this I don't mean "crazy"!

During his lifetime he followed (allegedly) several different religions to "enlightenment" including dressing and living as a women at one point, to prove his point that it really didn't matter which path you followed.

Oh I thought that was the original teachings of Rama eons ago. Those "No Mind" gurus are out of their mind. I heard one talk about poo poo and pee pee for an hour and how he does not even sleep. Its a mess beyond a mess, with all these folks disenfranchising themselves to Oblivion. I guess its one way to escape from the Madness.

Well, there are those who believe they will be but dust in space at some point.
There are those who believe they will be with multiple virgins on their own planet.
There are those who believe they will be reincarnated into an eternal on something pretty:roll:
There are those who believe they can imagine their own beyond.
There are those who will walk on streets of gold , if they can only get there.
There are those who believe that being "good" will get them "reservations".
And there are those who believe that bloodline, church or some club gives guarantees them a beyond.

As for me, I only believe what I can't dispel...no matter how hard I try and I have been able to dispel all the above.

Yes you will be able to dispel most everything. Coincidentally very similar to the No minders. It seems dispelling reality is the name of the game.
