Anarchy versus sociopaths
Anarchy can be defined as a system where no one rules you. Each individual is sovereign. Sociopaths believe in a game system of winners and losers. Winners rule and losers drool. Deception and manipulation are the keys to winning that game, and if you do both well, you rule. Nobody does deception and manipulation better than sociopaths. In effect, sociopaths create a rich hierarchy of winners and losers, reserving the place at the very top of the hierarchical pyramid for themselves. This means that anarchy, where there is no hierarchy, is completely contrary to the sociopathic system, which is rich in hierarchy. With anarchy, an individual's internal sense of morality is the only "authority" that he will bow to. With the hierarchy created by the sociopaths, authority tramples morality with absolute impunity.
Of course, sociopaths can't have anarchy and remain "in the game" (in power), so anarchy gets bad-mouthed and condemned, while hierarchy gets praised and reinforced. Propaganda created by the sociopaths accomplishes this, brainwashing the people into believing that authority is not only desirable, but necessary. In reality, authority is undesirable and unnecessary, but because of the brainwashing, almost no one believes it!
Government is the current manifestation of authority in the modern world. Belief in the necessity of government is entirely faith based, with that faith built on a foundation of self-serving propaganda constantly delivered by the ruling sociopaths. In other words, government doesn't really make any sense, but the people are so conditioned to believe in government that they actually insist on it, even when it is literally murdering others! Hmmm, sounds a lot like religion, doesn't it.
