I'm using prosilver, my only criticism would that the "phpBB" logo overwhelms the "united-people.tk" one! not that I have a problem sharing the top graphics bar with them as they are providing some great software. Thanks phpBB ;)

The Hestia Blue style (the default) is the only style that I have customized to include the United People logo. I could do the same for the other styles, but unfortunately each one presents a different challenge to incorporate the logo.

Also maybe some sort of alt history thread would be cool.

I have installed the Artodia Elegance theme, as requested.
Hestia Blue became much easier on my eyes when I zoomed in a couple of levels using the zoom feature of Firefox. Now it's so nice, I like it even better than Vbulletin.

Much thanx, Chico.

Who'da thunk that phpBBS could compete with Vbulletin in this regard ... but Artodia trumps all the interfaces I've yet used on forums such as these.

Now I can focus on ideas and arguments.

:)

You'll be happy to know that the search engine is already in place, and it appears to work well! After disastrous results using the search engine that comes with Vbulletin, which I concluded was good for nothing, since I could never find anything, not even my own posts whose content I was familiar with, the phpBB search engine has found everything I have searched for so far!

Look for the "Search" link at the top of the page (may be elsewhere if using an optional style).

I noticed Zook mentioned on another thread he would like better icons. I have to agree. It would create a richer environment and provide for more clarity of the tone of our posts. Is it workable here Chico??

I'm jealous of andywight and his dancing banana?? 8-)

I would have thought there would be lots of smiley packages out there for phpBB, but I didn't find a lot. Evidently, they changed their smiley code dramatically with version 3.0+, so all the old smiley packs are not compatible.

Anyway, I was able to add a few more smilies for your posting enjoyment.

Thanks Chico - even just a few more will help!

I can't seem to use them? Will try again next time I'm online.
