Can it be denied that government and corporatism have merged? With lobbyist as the bridge to change policy. How can you trust this system when money and legislation direct policy. War and pestilence is the best we can do?

Can it be denied that fascism, the merger of state and corporate power, exists in the United States? Nope. Not only does fascism exist here, but it completely overshadows everything else. See this thread for examples of fascism operating even at the level of the common man. Fascism has "trickled down" from the capstone of the sociopathic hierarchy of power and control all the way down to the base of the pyramid. It is now well on its way to becoming full-spectrum fascism. Mussolini would be so proud.


It's the best sociopaths can do. That is the reason they should not be allowed to occupy positions of power and control.


We need to do more than "trust". We have to exercise our ingenuity and moral standards. We have to put them into action. We not only have to learn to change, we have to actually change.

This is exactly why I have rearranged my life in ways many call "crazy". This is why I have turned from being a pursuer of money to one who shuns money. This is why I deliberately choose to earn below the poverty line. This is why I refuse to be a "good consumer" and instead search for ways to become a better conservationist, a recycler, or a "good producer". This is how I put my actions (not my money) where my mouth is. This is how I fight back.

We are like Neo with our muscles in complete atrophy. Is not the number of how many on this board testament to this very fact?

Exactly. None of us can do anything big enough to significantly change the system, but enough of us together, united in our general direction, each doing very tiny things -- that is an unstoppable force. If the sociopaths, less than 1% of the population, can completely steer humanity through deception and manipulation, imagine what even 10% of humanity could do using nothing but truth and goodwill towards men.

Sixty years ago, no one would have believed that more accurate news would come from Russia Today than CBS. No one would have even believed that a news organization called "Russia anything" would ever exist in the USA. Yet here we are!

Of course, sixty years ago, no one would have believed we would have a black socialist Muslim narcissist as president, that the Bill of Rights would be essentially undermined, that we would invade and occupy multiple countries for decades, that we would detain citizens without charge indefinitely with no legal recourse, that torturing other human beings including Americans would be national policy, that our money would be a disgrace of almost no real value, and that our food supply would be re-engineered to provide profits for the few at the expense of public health. All of that would have been absolutely unimaginable. What the hell happened?!
