Yes, it's critical to understand that we are being lied to constantly as a matter of course. And the lies are subtle and mixed with truth to produce propaganda that deliberately omits other information necessary to identify the lies ("classified" information). It is highly effective and has been used against us so regularly that most people are unaware of it, having known nothing different to compare it to. After all, if you've only heard propaganda your entire life, how can you learn to recognize it? It's not easy to do, but it can be done, and once you make the transition, the propaganda becomes readily visible.
