Re: UncleZook Easy, two different contextual usages of the word "staff".
The first instance was alluding to the entire staff minus Richard. I said the rest of the staff, e.g. the staff without Richard. The implication being that, with Richard, we would have the entire staff, or simply, the staff.
In the second instance, the proper parsing is that no one was acting as another's personal staff, e.g. secretary and the sort.
English is your first language and my second ... so how come I have the premier understandings and you have the premature ones?
