Nature is indeed scary. I recall reading about a hunting party of Hawaiian natives that suffocated while walking through nature, because a volcanic vent hole released an invisible cloud of carbon dioxide, which displaced the oxygenated air around them. There were also some rural farms in Europe that experienced something similar. The carbon dioxide rolled down the mountain slopes one night into the peaceful valley and suffocated every living animal in the area, including all the people. It's scary to think that you can be dreaming peacefully in your bed one minute, and the next, you're dead.

Good to see you posting again, Magamud. A few weeks back I was wondering what you were up to, and I did a Google search to see if I could find any news of you. I found none, which was sad. I'm glad to hear you are still alive and breathing oxygen! I've missed your perspectives, and I hope to hear what insight your recent experiences have brought you.

Along those same lines, two days ago I wondered whatever happened to Adam Kokesh. You will probably remember how some members here felt strongly that he was controlled opposition, while others felt he was genuine. Often, time helps us sort out these mysteries. Well, the results were surprising...

There was one course I always wanted to take at college and never did -- parasitology. It was always offered at 8am only, and I simply didn't do early morning learning. I patiently waited each semester for it to be offered at another time, and it never was! I was so disappointed.

The biggest and most dangerous human parasite is the sociopath. They are society's fluke worms. Back in those college days I would have never imagined that 30 years later I would be studying the mother of all parasites, the elusive and secretive sociopath. Fate, it seems, is not without a sense of irony.
