Post How to Delete a Post
Hi Chicodoodoo,

I managed to delete a post the other day after I had written some bad information about the Russian stock market.

This morning I seem to have double posted and when I looked for the 'delete' button, it wasn't there.

Has there been a change in deleting posts? How may I delete a post?

Best regards.

Hi GB,

When you do an opening post, there's something you click on, above the subject header I think, which says "delete post" I believe. It tells you once deleted it cannot be restored I think.

Once posted, I don't know if you can go into the edit function and do the same.

Failing that, you can go into edit function and just delete the text, re-write ",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,," or something to that effect or "deleted by author".

Sincerely,

Mouse

No, I've made no changes. I believe there is a time limit for editing and deleting posts. I'm not sure what the limit is at the moment, but it seems like I remember it being 48 hours or something like that.

You can always add another post to draw attention to errors in previous posts, kind of like the newspapers do.
