Re: David Icke Livestream, am I the only 1 on UP that watche
Mags, did you even watch this video? I could only manage 30 minutes before I couldn't take any more of his claptrap. I'm all for questioning David Icke and what he has to say, but I'm completely against the kind of underhanded and deceptive dismissal this video engages in.
Here's a brief summary of the first 30 minutes:
David Icke read Alice Bailey and incorporated some of her thinking into his. So? Who doesn't read books and adopt, even if only for a short time, some of the things that were read?
There is no scientific evidence for some of the things Icke is talking about and might even believe. So? There's a great deal that science doesn't know, and everyone talks about things that have no scientific evidence.
Some of the things Icke says sound ludicrous. So? Some of the things Einstein said sounded ludicrous. Some of the things the Bible says are ludicrous. Do we then dismiss Einstein and whatever wisdom is in the Bible?
This debunking is just a hatchet job designed to ridicule Icke, which as many of his fans know, has been the story of a good portion of his life. Yet Icke has the sincerity and conviction to stick to his guns despite more ridicule than the typical person could handle.
Chris White, the debunker, is a hard-core Christian determined to dismiss every perspective but those that align with
his own debunked religious beliefs. It's rather sad to see such an obvious bias, but the religious faithful are notorious for that kind of thing.
