I do like the Jist suggesting that consciousness manifests with matter much easier when we lose physicality here.
More to the importance of understanding morality and be conscious altogether.
The dynamics that propel our Autonomic nervous system might translate into the other world supplying a foundation.
This might suggest a form of Hell as you would get everything you want, a curse for some a gift for others.
The twilight zone example is good.

The complexity and relativism is outstanding so as I can enjoy people theorizing in this area to the point of landscape, but the fulcrum of importance lies at the heart of the matter or the experience that awaits us all.
