Post A Son died today...
Hey Everyone,

Just a wake up call for everyone. I visited Atticus forum just a while ago, I very rarely go there.

A member's son has just been killed in a car/bike accident in LA.

I can't image what it must be like to hear news like that.

Let us put things into perspective, look at things from others point of view, and right our misconceptions.

I know it's all a game, but really it's not a game. Life is about life and death and loved ones, heart connections. Things that matter.

Might be wise to reflect on that.

Could we all please make an effort to understand and be compassionate with each other? Life is so short.

Lily

Yes. It does put things in perspective, Lily.

In the end, all we really have are the ones we love. Everything else is secondary.

My condolences to the family involved.

Hi Lily de Cuir,

Wow. You are exactly right. I'm sure that being a parent drives your point home further.

At the end of the day we are all here on borrowed time. As a parent my worries all relate to my kids (which are adults!) and their well being.

I can't relate to the death of one ofmy children, but I've been to may a funeraland have seen the profound sadness on the bereaved.

Even now I think of my father and he died twelve years ago. That to me was a very deep moment in my life when he died. You can ask my friends about when I was younger,I used to joke a great deal about death because I never thought it would happen to me and up until now it hasn't! However, to have someone taken away suddenly, especially a child, I imagine would be heart wrenching.

I don't know who on the Atticus forum it is, however my heart and prayers go out to them, with all sincerity.

Best regards.

Chico,

I'm really sorry that you have not responded to this thread. Nor on Atticus as your own sock-puppet, 'Chump' when a fellow member is bleeding and in the gutter, learning that her son has died.

Do you have any compassion? For anyone? It's what makes us human you know.

You might like to reflect on that.

I wish you well my friend.

I'm really sorry that you have not responded to this thread.

It felt like a setup to me. Your followup to condemn me for not responding confirms that possibility.

It's a really dirty game you guys play.
