Post POll: should we allow posts to be scrubbed?
A* A post can be scrubbed at United under the following conditions:
1-when perhaps the content is irrelevant to the discourse at hand. this would be an administrative task to save space
2- when personal info is put fourth with the sole intent of causing harm to an individual through privacy violations. When a person is threatened with this information for presenting info on the forum
3- When personal information is part of a discourse but will according to a member cause harm to the individual. Think about this because it means that even when a member does something awful that involves an integral event that is shed light upon through discovery of a person's identity, etc...if it causes harm to the individual it must be censored. the event can be disscussed but personal details cannot be public knowledge.

For purposes of the poll personal info is any information about an individual that a reasonable person would not consider public interest. name ,number, soc number, location, etc. When a person feels that an area is too much info it would mean that this info would have to be censored. Why? because to some of us knowing the state we live in is private, to others, if you google their street and post a street view they will laugh.

Think about these choices carefully!! You are voting on something that has implications for the future.

Think hard and NO SOCK PUPPETRY!!!!! :crybabe: :giggle:

I'm not voting until I know if this one is considered valid or not and there will be another rule change.

So is this one valid?

I suggest we must solve the polling problems before we have another poll.

I suggest we honour the first one. You can't change the rules mid stream Chico.

Future polls, yes....this one, no.

You better figure it out right now coz I've already given you a solution that you have ignored. Either use my solution that I've posted twice or come up with another solution pronto coz you are looking like the dictator you accused Richard of being.

I couldn't agree more Canzirka,

Chico you are out numbered as a member in the approved vote of the poll. You are using your Admin POWERS to subvert the results under the guise that YOU feel it is not a fair poll. Is this not demonstrating your position of POWER over the membership?

Please stop stalling and honor the request of the membership. Your stance is a distraction tactic and has nothing to do with the fact that the poll was legit in the presentation of what is regarding poll rules to date.

We can vote on changing those rules for forth coming polls in light of the dynamics this poll brought forth however the poll stands as is unless we must acquiesce to You having the POWER to deny the membership their rights!!!

What part of "Gipsy Women has admitted to having multiple accounts which automatically invalidates your poll which has to have 25% of the membership or minimum of at least 10" do you not understand?

10-2=8

There are standard rules for polls that you seem to be unaware of, Canzirka. "One man, one vote" is one of them. It is fundamental to the democratic (polling) process. There are even courses on the proper techniques for fair and unbiased poll design, as well as on the standard techniques for manipulative poll design, which are used on a regular basis in popular elections. I've been exposed to both.

So I'm not changing the rules in mid-stream. I'm trying to find a way to ensure that the fair-use rules are implemented and followed.

Chico, you are behaving like a tyrant.

The members don't need to you to declare what is legitimate or not.

Really, your stubborness in this case is no worse than anything you have accused Richard of.

We all have a right to our opinions, but this post unfortunately goes a little further than "mere opinion" IMO, which when backed up with nothing of any substance like this one only portrays you as the very thing you accuse Chico of!
