People's anonimity needs to be protected. If a person feels information about themselves has been placed on the forum that could lead to any nutcase finding them I believe they have every right to ask for it to be removed.

Perhaps to some people a general location covering many thousand's of kilometres might not be a problem, but to others that have been through the ringer, this may be a big problem.

We have to at least have that level of respect here, IMO..

What is of more concern is when someone puts up the full name of the person and an item that links to their website.

How on Earth is that considered o.k? Simply because that person has an internet presence.
